“Latino Americans and Their Struggle for Equality” Podcast

Howard Jordan is an East Harlem-born educator, lawyer, journalist and political activist, as well as a member of the behavioral and social sciences faculty at Hostos Community College. Professor Jordan brings a wealth of experience and understanding to the crucial issues confronting people of color and the many distressed communities both in the United States and internationally. His weekly radio show, The Jordan Journal, sheds light on the changes impacting our growing and increasingly diverse urban communities.

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage month, the Urban Male Leadership Program at Lehman College hosted a distinguished speaker series, featuring Professor Jordan on October 13, 2010. He focused on what it means to be a Latino American and urged his audience to learn about the history and people behind the many rights we take for granted.
