“Pussy Riot: A Punk Prayer for Freedom” Podcast

The protest group Pussy Riot made international headlines after the release of a video showing members of the band being beaten by Russian security as they filmed a music video in Sochi, host of the Winter Olympics. The band mocked the Olympic games as a public relations stunt that ignores human rights violations in Russia.

Amy Scholder and Elizabeth Koke of the Feminist Press at the City of University of New York published the book Pussy Riot: A Punk Prayer for Freedom, and on March 14, 2013, they came to Lehman College to participate in a question-and-answer discussion focusing on freedom of speech and feminism.
